💡The short answer

Working from home with ADHD is easier when the day has external edges. Create a visible start, choose one main outcome, separate work from home tasks, use bounded focus periods, and write tomorrow's restart point before stopping.

Remote work removes commuting and office interruption. It also removes cues that tell the brain when work begins, what other people are doing, and when the day is over.

Start with an arrival sequence

Use a short repeatable sequence: drink, medication if prescribed, open the work list, choose the main outcome, and begin its first action. Avoid checking every communication channel before deciding what matters.

Sprout can place concentration-heavy work in Focus, small replies in Quick Wins, and low-pressure tasks in Anytime.

Keep home chores out of the work list

A visible washing basket can compete with an ambiguous work task. Record household chores in Tidywell and work actions in Sprout. If something at home is urgent, choose it deliberately rather than switching each time it catches your eye.

Tidywell's 10-minute home reset can create a bounded before- or after-work routine.

Make focus blocks realistic

Define an outcome smaller than the session. Put the phone out of reach when possible, close unrelated tabs, and keep a parking note for thoughts that do not belong to the current task.

1
Choose one outcome

Name what will be different at the end of the block.

2
Prepare the first action

Open the file, question, or material needed.

3
Contain interruptions

Record unrelated thoughts without following them.

4
Close the block

Write the next action before taking a break.

End the day on purpose

Send any essential update, capture unfinished work, and write tomorrow's first action. Close work applications and change physical context where possible.

The finish does not need every task complete. It needs the work safely captured.

Use external start and stop cues, choose fewer daily outcomes, reduce task switching, define small first actions, and keep personal chores in a separate system.

Sprout provides focus support without requiring the home office to imitate a perfect workplace.
